An installation of the Sabre Red on a workstation that does not meet these specifications may not function properly and cannot be supported by Sabre. Sabre Scribe is currently supported in Sabre Red , and your scripts will automatically load when your upgrade occurs.

We have tested thousands of scripts and solutioned fixes along the way, including the implementation of Scribe Compatibility Mode see below. If you happen to find an unidentified error with a custom script you use on a regular basis, please report the error to scribe. To minimize business disruption during the upgrade, a new Compatibility Mode is available to support Scripts that cannot be changed or replaced. Responses will come back in paginated plain text, allowing scripts to work without modification.

However, this mode does not expand Scribe functionality to integrate with web services content or to listen for actions initiated graphically, resulting in a diminished user experience. Agency owners should be encouraged to consider these limitations and decide how Scribe fits into their short- and long-term workflow automation strategy, along with Sabre Red Apps.

Compatibility Mode can be configured at the user or agency level. Consultants can individually choose when to turn Compatibility Mode on or off from the options menu. When on, Compatibility Mode will only impact script-initiated commands. We recommend keeping Compatibility Mode on and working as usual. Agencies can also use the Agency Admin Tool to configure on as default or disable for all agents.

Red Apps will automatically load. We have also tested hundreds of Red Apps. Some third-party Red Apps are still awaiting backwards compatibility. If you find an error with any third party Red App, please contact your service provider to resolve. While it is unlikely, other third party integrated systems may require work on the part of your service provider. Once you've picked an upgrade date, tell your employees loud and clear what to expect.
