Their connection is frequently a source of levity, but also manages to demonstrate that the solidarity between them while browsing the muddy waters of the national government and addressing the local institution.

Both parties make terrible decisions within the duration of the series, but seeing them through the wreckage and keep that their convictions is endearing.
